Home is Where the Heart is: A Guide to Furniture and Home Décor Shopping in Hong Kong
When I first moved to Hong Kong in 2007, I was so excited by the endless possibilities of this chic, cosmopolitan city. New people, new work opportunities, new food! – all of which, I received in immeasurable quantities, almost the minute I jumped off the plane.
However, as a lover of interiors and design, the one thing I was NOT bombarded with was an abundance of living space. My new flat resembled a jail cell, bars and all (although a lot more expensive!) and I could find very little information on where to find the good furniture and home décor stores in Hong Kong. I was determined to leave the ‘prison cell chic’ look behind and find my own style, right here in Hong Kong…
Seven years down the track, I’ve come to know and love certain stores in Hong Kong, all of which accommodate even the most discerning home stylist. So without further ado, here is La Maison de Lorenz’s guide to helping you find the right furniture and home décor for your home.
