    Nature Play at Ark Eden

It’s so important for kids to get outdoors and in touch with nature, and the CNY camps at Ark Eden allow for just that, rain or shine! Set on a hillside in Mui Wo, the camps offer a new theme each day, like learning about composting and digging their hands in the dirt making vegetable beds at “A Day on the Farm” camp. There’s also the imaginative “3 Little Pigs” camp, which tests their ability to build a strong shelter and gather food from the garden, in case that big bad wolf shows up.

    Dates: 4 – 12 February 2019
    Ages: 5 – 11 years
Location: Mui Wo, Lantau Island (drop off/pick up available at Central ferry pier 6 or Mui Wo ferry pier)
    Book: $670 – $750 per day, 2988 5355 or [email protected]

Find more inspiration for natural outdoor play for kids in this post!

    Sport4Kids

Sport4Kids multi-activity camps take place at two venues in the city, depending on what they fancy. Children as young as 18 months can take part in ball games and coordination exercises, and older kids get to tackle rock climbing and aerial adventures at Parkview in Happy Valley. Over at the Atom Academy in Wong Chuk Hang there’s a bit of everything for ages 2.5 to 8, with mornings or afternoons full of sport, dance, art and science.

    Dates: 4 – 13 February 2019
    Ages: 18 months – 14 years
Location: Wong Chuk Hang, Happy Valley
Book: from $1160 for two days, 2773 1650 or [email protected]

    The Harbour School

A great way to learn about Hong Kong’s marine ecosystems, the F.I.S.H. (Fully Immersive Scholar’s Holiday) course at Harbour School’s Ap Lei Chau campus gives them a taste of what being a marine biologist is all about. Kids aged 8 to 13 will explore mangroves and beaches, then spend time in the lab dissecting specimens, using microscopes and making notes of their adventures on the school’s 50-foot outdoor classroom, the Black Dolphin.

    Dates: 4 – 8 February 2019
    Ages: 8 – 13 years
    Location: Ap Lei Chau
    Book: $8000 for 5 days, 3905 0180 or eventbrite

    Minisport HK

Spend a couple of hours at Victoria Park with your wee one, watching them learn and play through a range of engaging activities. There’ll be fundamental fine and gross motor skills, numbers, colours and animals to discover, and storytime. Bigger boys and girls can let loose at camps in Pok Fu Lam with football, tennis, yoga and various athletics, while learning all about the importance of team building.

    Dates: 4 – 8 February 2019
    Ages: 1.5 – 9 years
Location: Pok Fu Lam and Victoria Park
Book: from $450 per day, 6183 7084 (WhatsApp) or [email protected]

    YWCA

    YWCA CNY Camps

Even your fussiest child will find something they like at YWCA’s Chinese New Year camps, with more offerings than ever. Do they want to learn the lion dance? How about kung fu? Maybe they love inventing things, dabbling in Chinese cookery, or have always wanted to have a go at fencing? Camps and classes will take place in different venues, and with no shortage of choice, they’ll be occupied until school starts up again.

    Dates: 4 – 15 February 2019
    Ages: 3 – 17 years
    Location: Various
Book: from $300, 3476 1340 or [email protected]
