Fans of Andy Lau will get to see the actor-singer perform some of his biggest hits live when he brings his ‘Today… is the Day’ concert tour to Hong Kong this December. The shows will take place at the Hong Kong Coliseum, but details about the dates and tickets have not yet been revealed. The star will kick off his tour in Mainland China in July, where he will play in 8 cities, before he heads to other venues across Asia and wraps up in his hometown of Hong Kong.

Lau has not taken the stage in the SAR since 2018, when he had to cancel several concerts citing ill health. He was supposed to hold a series of concerts in the territory in 2020, but cancelled them because of the Covid-19 pandemic. His forthcoming tour will comprise dates in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Beijing, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, and Chongqing in Mainland China. After that, he will perform in Macau, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Taipei, and wind up the tour in the 852.

Andy Lau acquired legend status in the 1990s as one of Cantopop’s Four Heavenly Kings. He’s also been part of several movies that have gone down in history as some of Hong Kong cinema’s finest, such as Boat People, As Tears Go By, Infernal Affairs, and House of Flying Daggers. His most recent releases include The Goldfinger, which saw him team up with his Infernal Affairs co-star Tony Leung, and I Did It My Way. He was also honoured with a Special Tribute Award at the 2023 Toronto Film Festival, where his film The Movie Emperor premiered.
