What is Clockenflap?
Clockenflap is Hong Kong’s biggest music and arts festival, first held in 2008 at Cyberport, then moved to West Kowloon in 2011 before moving to the Central Harbourfront in 2016. Known for its eclectic mix of genres, the festival showcases international, regional and local acts. On top of music, it features eye-popping art installations, activities and a rich cultural atmosphere.

When is Clockenflap in 2025?
This year, Clockenflap will take place from December 5 to 7, 2025 at the Central Harbourfront Event Space. The festival opens Friday from 5pm to 10:30pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 1pm to 10:30pm. Across the three days, you can enjoy full afternoons and evenings of live music, art, food and festival activities by the harbour.
Which artists will play at Clockenflap?
Clockenflap 2025 delivers one of its strongest full line-ups yet, headlined by British indie-rockers Bloc Party on Saturday and Irish-English shoegaze pioneers My Bloody Valentine on Sunday, both making their long-awaited Hong Kong debuts. The festival also welcomes rising J-pop stars ANO and Kento Nakajima, global favourites such as J-pop phenomenon Vaundy, Scottish indie rockers Franz Ferdinand, Indonesian rapper Rich Brian, British multi-instrumentalist Jacob Collier and American singer-songwriter Beth Gibbons. What are the stages at Clockenflap?

Clockenflap 2025 will feature five music stages, each offering a distinct vibe and lineup. The Harbourflap Stage remains the festival’s iconic main stage, while new and returning stages showcase everything from indie and electronic to regional artists and family-friendly programming.
- Harbourflap Stage: The festival’s largest and most iconic stage hosts the biggest international and regional acts, complete with high-energy production and massive crowds. This year’s highlights include VAUNDY (Fri), BLOC PARTY (Sat), MY BLOODY VALENTINE (Sun), plus standout sets from JACOB COLLIER (Fri), YOGA LIN (Sun), RICH BRIAN (Sat), PANTHER CHAN (Fri) and FRANZ FERDINAND (Sun).
- Orbit Stage: The Orbit Stage brings together artists across genres and countries. Expect performances by BETH GIBBONS (Sat), SPARKS (Fri), TV GIRL (Sun), as well as regional favourites like ANO (Sat), ELLEGARDEN (Sun) and PHUM VIPHURIT (Sat).
- Park Stage: Located on the grassy lawns, this stage invites rising indie talent and top electronic acts. Discover artists such as BRIGHT EYES (Sun), WENDY WANDER (Fri), RIKON (Sat) and PUULUUP (Sun), followed by nighttime sets from DIGITALISM (Fri), DAVE CLARKE (Sat) and RIRIA (Sun).
- Robot Stage: By day, the Robot Stage caters to families with kids-friendly programmes and playful performances. After sunset, it transforms into a lively DJ hub featuring MEAN GURLS CLUB (Sun), 0159 (Sat), UMAMI (Sat), plus UK dubstep legend RSD (Sun) and Japanese-HK duo AZABU PUNKS (Fri).
- Silent Disco powered by Carlsberg: A returning crowd favourite, the Silent Disco offers a unique party atmosphere with DJ sets from DJ FABSABS, BAD BAMBINO, BBLAMB and more across multiple channels all weekend long.

How much are Clockenflap tickets?
General tickets are now on sale, with options available for adults and visitors under 18. Tickets can be purchased on Ticketflap and are priced as follows:

Children aged under 3 can enter the festival for free and do not need a ticket. Anyone aged under 16 must attend with a guardian aged 18 or above. Each general admission ticket also allows entry for up to two children under 3 at no extra cost.
What are the other attractions at Clockenflap?

Clockenflap 2025 introduces Minimax: The Planets, an ambitious theatrical experience that blends performance, music, movement, and visual art. Created by Jay Hofmann-Forster and designer Obie Chan, the production reimagines Holst’s The Planets as a living performance unfolding across the festival grounds. Rolling set pieces, live musicians, dancers, and community performers turn transitional spaces into immersive encounters. Directed by Benjamin Smith, the show features a diverse mix of Hong Kong talent, from jazz ensembles and a community choir to street dancers and circus artists, creating a dynamic piece that celebrates creativity, mythology, and collective storytelling.
Other highlights include The Origin, a sculptural DJ booth and art installation by Screw Up Studio, and Relentless Melt No. 42: Generative Abstractions, a curated showcase of experimental music videos using AI tools like Midjourney and Kling, co-curated by Max Hattler and Hofmann-Forster.
Families will find a full kids-focused programme, from hands-on workshops by the Hong Kong Children’s Discovery Museum to musical storytelling by Hakgwai & Chor Lai, the ever-popular Drum Jam, Lipsync Battle, Treasure Chest Theatre’s interactive puppet show, plus face painting and a bouncy castle.

The 10 Asian Designers to Watch 2025 exhibition returns with “The Fashion Compass,” featuring signature pieces curated by industry experts, festival-inspired styling by Chloe Mak, and illustrated artworks by Jenny Chui.
On the food front, Tamjai Avenue offers exclusive dishes, cocktails, challenges and collectibles by Tamjai Yunnan Mixian, Tamjai Samgor Mixian and Tamjai Mixian for the first time. Plus, 16 food outlets serve everything from burgers and tacos to gelato, pizza, noodles, BBQ and more all weekend.
As part of its sustainable initiatives, festivalgoers will be encouraged to bring in you own non-glass water canister. You can refill for free at the water fountains, available across the venue. All food containers used at Clockenflap will be biodegradable.

How do I get to Clockenflap?
- MTR: Head to the Hong Kong Station (Exit A2) or Central Station (Exit A), walk towards the Central Star Ferry Pier, and follow the promenade around the harbour to reach the festival entrance beyond the Hong Kong Observation Wheel.
- Ferry: Board a ferry to any of Central Ferry Piers (No.s 2-7). Walk to the entrance, keeping Pier 10 on your left.
- Taxi: Alight at the Star Ferry taxi drop-off point and walk straight ahead for 2-4 minutes to reach the gates.
- Bus: Take a bus to the Central Ferry Piers and walk towards the entrance by way of the observation wheel.
- Car: There is no parking at the venue, but you can park your car at IFC, which is the closest parking lot.
