Dairy Queen, the iconic American soft-serve and fast-food chain, is officially expanding to Hong Kong. As part of a major regional development plan, the brand will open 60 locations across the city before 2034, bringing its signature soft-serve cones, Blizzard treats and selected hot-food items to local fans for the first time.
The rollout will include both treat-only shops serving ice cream and desserts, as well as hot-food-and-treat locations, similar to the full DQ restaurants seen in North America.

This Hong Kong expansion is part of a wider push that also includes 12 shops in Macau and 100 new outlets in Taiwan, with all markets scheduled to begin opening locations from 2026 onwards.
Dairy Queen highlighted that its global growth strategy focuses on established, experienced franchise groups, with Hong Kong set to become one of its key Asian markets.
Known worldwide for the Blizzard — including best-sellers like the OREO Cookie Blizzard — Dairy Queen also offers classic ice-cream cones, sundaes, shakes and, in selected shops, burgers and other hot-food items.
The brand currently operates over 7,700 restaurants in more than 20 countries, and its arrival is expected to draw strong interest from Hong Kong’s dessert lovers.
