Hong Kong Pop Culture Festival 2026 will run this April with more than 120 events under 20 programmes. The festival’s theme, Beyond Fantasy, looks at how different creative forms shape Hong Kong pop culture.

Activities span exhibitions, performing arts, film screenings, outreach projects and library events. Major highlights include a large music carnival and an outdoor screening series set in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui.

A key weekend is 25–26 April 2026, when ImagineLand brings a large-scale outdoor music carnival to the programme. The same dates also feature Movie Under the Stars, a two-night outdoor cinema on the lawn at Central Lawn, Salisbury Garden, located between K11 Musea and the Hong Kong Museum of Art.

The screenings focus on local fantasy-romance titles. Last Song For You (2024) is scheduled for 25 April, followed by Fly Me to Polaris (1999) on 26 April. The outdoor set-up is designed for an easy evening plan, with the harbourfront area offering plenty of nearby dining and transport links.

Beyond the headline weekend, the festival also lists Pop Unboxed, an outdoor installation running from 25 April to 30 June, and film seasons including Fantasies in Reality: A Cinematic Journey from 25 April to 7 June. Another spotlight is Restored Treasures – “The Kid” (1999), presented in a 4K digitally restored version on 26 April as a Hong Kong premiere. The opening programme, concert Dreamscape, runs on 17–18 April.
