Hong Kong will stage a new large-scale winter celebration, “Merry Balloon Hong Kong” from 24 November 2025 to 4 January 2026, featuring nearly 20 popular local and international characters, such as M&M’s Yellow, LuLu the Piggy, and Mobile Softee, the city’s iconic ice cream truck.

The event will combine art, creativity, and entertainment, bringing festive colour to streets and waterfronts across the city during the Christmas and New Year holidays. Merry Balloon Hong Kong will feature a series of large-scale attractions that bring art, technology, and imagination together.

Merry Balloon Parade

Hong Kong’s first-ever giant helium-balloon parade, featuring nearly 20 internationally loved and home-grown characters. It will take place on Sunday, 28 December 2025, at the West Kowloon Cultural District Art Park, running along the harbourfront from the Hong Kong Palace Museum to M+.

The parade will fill the skyline above Victoria Harbour with colour and movement, marking the grand finale of the winter celebrations. Merry Balloon Park

A dreamlike inflatable wonderland open throughout the festival period, from 24 November 2025 to 4 January 2026. It will feature large-scale art installations and themed zones inspired by the participating characters, offering an interactive and family-friendly playground that celebrates creativity and festive fun.

An augmented-reality balloon adventure and citywide stamp-collecting trail, allowing residents and tourists to explore different districts while unlocking virtual characters and festive surprises across Hong Kong.
