Hong Kong will stage a new large-scale winter celebration, “Merry Balloon Hong Kong” from 16 December 2025 to 11 January 2026 at the West Kowloon Art Park lawn. The event will feature nearly 20 giant character balloons, creating a festive atmosphere across the city.

Originally scheduled for early December, the event was postponed following the Tai Po fire, with the organisers expressing deep condolences to affected families, residents, and rescue personnel. All merchandise profits from the event’s pop-up stores will also be donated in full to the Yan Chai Emergency Assistance Fund.

Merry Balloon Parade

Hong Kong’s first-ever giant IP character balloon parade will take place on Sunday, 11 January 2026, serving as the finale of Merry Balloon Hong Kong.

Nearly 20 large balloons featuring both global and local IP characters will glide above Victoria Harbour, travelling along the waterfront from the Hong Kong Palace Museum to the West Kowloon Cultural District Art Park lawn. The parade is free to the public, with detailed viewing arrangements to be announced later.

Merry Balloon Park

A dreamlike inflatable wonderland that will run from 16 December 2025 to 11 January 2026 at the West Kowloon Cultural District Art Park lawn.

The park features two main themed zones. The Giant Bouncy Zone focuses on large inflatable attractions, including the imaginative Inverted Balloon World, where visitors can explore a vibrant upside-down balloon playground. This zone also includes an 80-metre-wide giant bouncy area, a 7-metre-tall inflatable slide, and a 40-metre-long inflatable track, catering to visitors of all ages.

The Snap and Play Zone is designed around photo-friendly installations and playful exploration. Surrounded by a colourful maze, it showcases interactive displays featuring popular IP characters, including Care Bears, Cocomelon, Garfield, Hong Kong Machine, Lulu the Piggy, Mr. Men Little Miss, M&M’s, Moomin, Ocean Park Panda Friends, PAW Patrol, Peppa Pig, Mr. Potato Head, Sho-Chan, SpongeBob SquarePants, and The Little Prince.

Merry Balloon Park will offer Day Sessions for families and younger visitors, while After Dark Sessions transform the park with lighting and music, with selected night sessions include live DJ performances. A dedicated Junior Session is also available for children under 120 cm.
