The Turkish Consulate General in Hong Kong has said that residents of the SAR can send cash and supplies to aid the relief efforts in Turkey after two powerful earthquakes rocked the country on February 6.

Those who want to donate relief supplies may send them to We World Express, 1408 Magnet Place Tower 1, 77-81 Container Port Road, Kwai Chung, N.T., Hong Kong. Address the boxes to Freeman (+852-2957-2703) and clearly write what they contain in English. The We World Express office is open from 9am-6pm on weekdays, and 12pm-6pm on weekends.

The deadline to send relief boxes is Monday, February 13. The supplies most in need include tents, blankets, sleeping bags, mattresses, and heaters and flashlights (without batteries). The earthquake victims also need winter clothing, such as overcoats, waterproof raincoats, boots, hats, gloves, sweaters, pants, and thermal clothes.

So far, the earthquakes that struck Kahramanmaraş and the surrounding provinces in Turkey have claimed over 20,000 lives in the country, and have left countless victims homeless in the middle of winter.
