The Van Cleef & Arpels is presenting its Poetry of Time™ exhibition in Hong Kong from 24 January to 8 February 2026, transforming Central Ferry Pier 4 into a custom-designed exhibition space dedicated to the Maison’s watchmaking savoir-faire. Admission is free, but visitors are required to book in advance.
Poetry of Time™ invites the public to explore how time is interpreted through mechanical innovation, artistic craftsmanship, and storytelling. The exhibition is organised into themed chapters including Love Stories, Poetic Astronomy®, Enchanting Nature, Ballerinas & Fairies, and Jewels That Tell Time. Each section presents watches, automata, and exceptional objects that combine technical precision with visual and emotional expression.
Visitors can see watches such as the Pont des Amoureux, where two figures move towards each other through mechanical motion, alongside astronomical designs inspired by the sun, moon, and planets. Other displays feature animated flowers, butterflies, fairies, and ballerinas, showing how movement and storytelling are built into each piece. The exhibition also explains the creative process, from early sketches to years of craftsmanship.
The programme includes scheduled craft workshops for children and a public talk by L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts, adding educational elements for different age groups.
The exhibition marks the second time in recent months that Central Ferry Pier 4 has been used as a major event venue, following the Virtuose: The Artistry of Couture 2025 fashion event. Set along the harbourfront, the pier offers open views across Victoria Harbour, reinforcing its appeal as a cultural space that blends exhibitions with a scenic waterfront setting.
