Hong Kong Disneyland Resort will mark the Year of the Horse with its annual Lunar New Year celebrations, running from January 30 to March 1, 2026. The seasonal programme forms part of the resort’s ongoing 20th anniversary activities and combines traditional festive elements with themed park decorations and special character appearances.

Throughout the celebration period, the park will be decorated with Lunar New Year-themed displays, including large lantern installations at Town Square, creating dedicated photo spots for visitors.

Guests can also meet Disney characters dressed in festive outfits across multiple locations, including Main Street, U.S.A. and Toy Story Land. Duffy and Friends will appear in themed costumes at the Play House, while Goofy and Mickey and Friends will take part in scheduled meet-and-greet sessions.

From the first day of Lunar New Year on February 17, 2026, visitors will receive a complimentary Disney-themed lai see, which includes a chocolate gold coin and discount vouchers, subject to availability. The park will also feature limited Lunar New Year-themed merchandise collections, including Year of the Horse designs and character-themed items available exclusively during the celebration period.

To encourage group visits during the festive period, Hong Kong Disneyland has introduced the “Happier Together” Advance Purchase Ticket Deal, available exclusively to Hong Kong residents. The offer provides 25% off regular-priced 1-Day tickets when two or more guests purchase and visit together. Discounted tickets can be used for park entry between January 24 and May 3, 2026.
Guests staying at the resort’s hotels can also experience Lunar New Year-themed activities, including traditional lion dance performances held across the three on-site hotels on Lunar New Year’s Day, adding to the festive atmosphere beyond the park.
The Lunar New Year programme runs alongside the resort’s anniversary entertainment schedule, giving visitors access to both seasonal celebrations and milestone anniversary experiences during the same visit.
