Kai Tak Sports Park is set to hold a Chinese New Year market at Dining Cove from 10 to 16 February. The outdoor event will run along the waterfront promenade, giving visitors a chance to shop for festive items while enjoying the harbourfront setting. Organisers say it will be family-friendly, with pets also welcome.
Visitors can expect stalls selling festive flowers and decorations, handwritten fai chun, small gifts, and other holiday essentials. Food and drink vendors are also expected, with snacks and sweet treats available for people browsing the outdoor booths.
The set-up adds another neighbourhood event to the wider holiday calendar, as more venues programme seasonal pop-ups and community markets around Chinese New Year. The event also comes as Hong Kong prepares for a busy run of official Chinese New Year markets for the Year of the Horse.
The Food and Environmental Hygiene Department is organising 14 festive markets across the city. Victoria Park remains the largest, with more than 300 stalls, and is scheduled to run from 11 to 17 February with free entry.
