The Discovery Bay Easter Egg Hunt & Carnival returns for its 19th edition on 3 and 4 April at Tai Pak Beach, Discovery Bay. This popular family event invites children aged 3 to 10 to search for colourful Easter eggs and exchange them for prizes.
Participants receive a welcome goodies bag and can redeem found eggs for prizes, with special grand eggs offering higher-value rewards. The festival atmosphere continues with the Inflatable Funland at DB Plaza, giant Easter egg displays at DB North Plaza until 6 April, and creative workshops at the Toscana Sales Gallery.

Gold Coast Easter Eggventure Carnival — April 3-6
Families can join the Gold Coast Easter Eggventure Carnival from 3 to 6 April at Gold Coast Lawn. The event offers egg hunts for children aged 3 to 10 in age-specific sessions, with each child ticket including one hunt session, a game token, and an upcycling workshop.
Visitors can also try game booths such as Eggs-cavator, Giant Egg Roll Challenge, and Bunny Ring Throw, along with free access to the Egg Maze Playground. The carnival includes an Easter Market with handmade crafts and a kids-led minimarket on 4 and 5 April, plus food stalls and a relaxing Chill Zone.

Go Park Sai Sha Easter Festival — April 3-7
The GO PARK Sports Easter Rush Carnival runs from 3 to 7 April 2026 at the GO PARK Sports Football Pitch with free admission. Highlights include four giant bouncy castles, dynamic game zones, and art workshops for painting Easter eggs and wooden eggs.
Bring your kids and join the Easter egg hunt to win rabbit gifts and sports vouchers, along with free group games such as roundnet, foot billiards, and rainbow parachute. A “Life in Four Frames” photo zone and interactive sessions with the rabbit mascot Go-Hop create memorable moments.

Kadoorie Farm And Botanic Garden Family Forest Eggscape — April 3-7
The Family Forest Eggscape at Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden offers a nature-focused Easter activity from 3 to 7 April. Families with kids can use a discovery map to find eight stamps and restore the “Magic Egg” in exchange for a gift. The programme includes observing plants and animals, an Animal Encounters session, and a box of organic farm eggs upon completion. Part of the proceeds support the garden’s wildlife rescue work. Children aged 4-11 must be accompanied by a parent.

Hong Kong International Food Tasting Festival — April 3-7

Running from 3 to 7 April 2026 at HKCEC, the Hong Kong International Food Tasting Festival 2026 invites visitors of all ages to sample global flavours from almost 500 exhibitors, all under the umbrella of a “try before you buy” concept.
The massive Hall 1ABCD hall is divided into immersive zones, including the coffee‑focused Yum Yeah Market, the 1970s–80s inspired Meilok Store with nostalgic snacks and toys, and the Food and Fun Pavilion featuring popular cartoon‑character items.
Alongside the tasting stalls, you can also enjoy live music from the Sliver Mic Concert and carnival‑style games at The World of Whimsy Carnival.

Paw Charity Harbour Cruise — April 6
Dog parents can join the Paw Charity Harbour Cruise on 6 April for a two-hour journey around Victoria Harbour. The cruise departs from North Point East Ferry Pier at 11:00 and returns at 13:00, passing landmarks including North Point, Causeway Bay, Wan Chai, Central, West Kowloon, Tsim Sha Tsui, and Hung Hom.
On board, families and their dogs can enjoy a pet play area, a pet market, and scenic photo spots. Proceeds after costs will be donated to the Hong Kong Animal Foundation to support its work.

Hong Kong Sevens — April 17-19
Families are well catered for at the Hong Kong Sevens 2026, taking place at Kai Tak Stadium from 17 to 19 April. Spring Storybook Festival Presents ‘The Paper Bag Princess‘ — April 25-26
The Paper Bag Princess lands in Hong Kong as part of Spring Storybook Festival 2026, offering a fresh take on the traditional fairy-tale formula. Over 50 minutes, Princess Elizabeth’s world is wrecked by a dragon, and she sets off wearing only a paper bag, relying on sharp thinking and comic moments to get the upper hand. This version moves at a quick, family-friendly pace while spotlighting self-belief, bravery, and the choice to step outside the roles others try to assign.

Ongoing Kids-Friendly Events in Hong Kong
Ancient Egypt Unveiled: Treasures from Egyptian Museums — Until August 31
The highlighted exhibition brings over 3,000 years of history to Hong Kong in the city’s largest exhibition of Egyptian artefacts to date. In addition to admiring monumental statues of Merenptah, Shepenwepet II, and Iunit up close, you can explore multimedia displays such as a projection-mapped restoration of a colossal Tutankhamun statue. A total of 250 precious artefacts from seven leading museums in Egypt, including the Egyptian Museum in Cairo and the Luxor Museum of Ancient Egyptian Art, as well as recent archaeological discoveries from Saqqara, will be featured. Family-friendly workshops let children create jewellery, pyramid models, and even their own cat temples.

Air Giants – The Cats that Slept for a Thousand Years — March 19-April 7
Cat lovers, come visit this playful outdoor installation featuring not one but three giant inflatable robotic cats. Arriving at WestK from March 19 to April 7, visitors can stroke them or lean against their soft bodies and watch tails twitch or hear gentle purring. Created by UK art studio Air Giants and originally commissioned by Manchester Museum, the giant cats are designed to welcome kind human companionship as they doze.

WestK FunFest — March 19-April 12
WestK FunFest comes back with interactive performances, outdoor installations, and hands-on activities for families. Central Yards Edible Art Fair — March 26-April 5

A brand-new sensory event arrives in Hong Kong as Central Yards Edible Art Fair transforms Central Harbourfront into an interactive playground of art and flavour. Designed for all ages, the experience showcases ten galleries inspired by movements from Impressionism to Neo-Pop, each paired with imaginative edible creations. Expect jelly balloon dogs, edible ribbons and optical illusion pastries in a setting framed by the harbour skyline.

Pokémon Trading Card Game Art Exhibition — March 27-May 31
AIRSIDE in Kai Tak is hosting a free Pokémon Trading Card Game art exhibition from 27 March to 31 May 2026. The display brings together 72 large-format artworks from the Mega Evolution card series, so visitors can see the illustration details up close. It also includes artworks connected to the Mega Evolution expansion pack Ninja Spinner, plus a feature area highlighting Mega Greninja ex trading cards.

Upcoming Family-friendly Events in Hong Kong
Bun Carnival — May 10, 24, 25
The annual Bun Carnival returns to Cheung Chau from 12 April to 25 May 2026. Training sessions and the selection contest for the Bun Scrambling Competition will take place on 12 April and 26 April respectively. On 10 May, the Climbing Carnival at Pak Tai Temple Playground offers families a chance to experience traditional customs through creative workshops and interactive games. Children can enjoy fun bun tower climbing, stall games, handicraft making, and variety shows. The grand finale, the Bun Scrambling Competition, will be held on the evening of 24 May.

CATS The Musical — August 6-16

CATS The Musical returns to Hong Kong from 6 to 16 August at the Grand Theatre, Xiqu Centre. Based on T.S. Eliot’s poems and composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber, the family-friendly show follows a tribe of Jellicle cats as they gather for the Jellicle Ball, where one cat is chosen for rebirth. Featuring spectacular dance, music, and colourful costumes, the performance is presented in English with Chinese surtitles.
