The Hong Kong Observatory downgraded the typhoon signal for Talim, the first typhoon of the year, from Gale or Storm Signal No. 8 to Strong Wind Signal No. 3 at 4:20pm Monday. The observatory raised the T8 signal at 12:40 am on Monday.

The MTR has started increasing the frequency of its train departures and resumed its bus services once the T3 signal came into force.

However, the check-in counters for the in-town check-in service at Hong Kong Station closed at 3pm instead of 6pm. The Cathay Pacific check-in counters reopened on July 5 after being closed for three years due to Covid-19.

The Star Ferry has will resume services on the Central-Tsim Sha Tsui and Wan Chai-Tsim Sha Tsui routes. Sun Ferry and Hong Kong Kowloon Ferry will resume services from 5.30pm onwards. The Discovery Bay and Park Island ferries to and from Central will also restart services from 4.40pm onwards.
