Stanley Plaza Merry Gingermas Christmas Market — 19-28 December

One of Hong Kong’s largest festive fairs is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Running for 10 days from 19 to 28 December, the Stanley “Merry Gingermas” Christmas Market features over 100 stalls, offering festive food and drinks, local crafts, and handmade gifts. Visitors can also enjoy daily live performances and Santa meet-and-greets, with a free shuttle bus linking Stanley Plaza and Admiralty.

AIA Carnival — 22 December-1 March

The AIA Carnival returns to the Central Harbourfront from 22 December 2025 to 1 March 2026, bringing back one of Hong Kong’s biggest winter celebrations. Now in its 11th year, the carnival features over 30 rides and attractions, themed photo zones, and live entertainment.
Highlights also include the Blue Girl Dai Pai Dong, which hosts a packed programme of live events, including a Canto Disco opening party, Christmas Eve sing-along, New Year’s Eve DJ party, Afrobeat nights, and even a family-friendly Baby Rave later in the season.

The Winter World Circus — 22 December-1 March

One of the world’s oldest and most celebrated troupes, Gandeys Circus, returns to the AIA Carnival with The Winter World Circus. Set against a winter-themed backdrop, the 60-minute production focuses on visual spectacle and fast transitions, featuring high-speed roller skating, gravity-defying aerial stunts, springboard acrobatics, motocross inside a steel globe, and classic comedic clowning.

Happy Wednesday Winter Wonderland — 26 December & 8 January

Happy Wednesday’s Winter Wonderland brings a festive twist to three racing nights at Happy Valley Racecourse. The next event on December 26 invites visitors to enjoy 10 evening races starting at 6:10pm, live performances by vocalist and dancer Rechelle Mansour, and Nutcracker dancers spreading holiday cheer. Food highlights include a Gweilo Beer pop-up and winter warmers from The Coffee Academics, helping to keep the Christmas mood going after the holidays.

Hong Kong Disneyland Let the Party Glow On — Until 4 January

Hong Kong Disneyland celebrates Christmas with a festive programme tied to its 20th Anniversary, running from 14 November 2025 to 4 January 2026. Seasonal highlights include the park’s largest-ever Friendtastic! Parade, a limited-time live concert show at the Castle of Magical Dreams, seasonal experiences in World of Frozen, and the A Holiday Wish-Come-True Tree Lighting Ceremony. The festivities culminate in a New Year’s Eve countdown party with DJs, Disney Friends, and an anniversary edition of Momentous: Party in the Night Sky midnight fireworks.

Tai Kwun Simple Gifts of Joy — Until 4 January

Simple Gifts of Joy transforms Tai Kwun into a festive cultural hub through the holidays, bringing a 12-metre Christmas tree at the Parade Ground, light installations, and family-friendly play areas.
Running alongside it, Circus Plays 2025 brings contemporary circus performances, workshops, and masterclasses to the site, featuring artists from Hong Kong and overseas, such as De Cuyper vs De Cuyper (Asia debut) and Ting koo-ki Mad Skills Battle.

Running until 4 January, Hong Kong WinterFest returns to Central with Christmas Town at Statue Square, featuring a 20-metre Christmas tree, festive market chalets, themed workshops, and daily Santa appearances. After dark, a large-scale Immersive Light Show lights up landmark buildings with 3D projections set to music, while Chater Road transforms into Starlight Boulevard, a glowing pedestrian walkway through Central.

WestK Christmas Town brings the holiday spirit to West Kowloon Art Park until 11 January, set against the backdrop of Victoria Harbour. The Christmas Forest is adorned with over 60 decorated trees, alongside charming treehouses and a carousel. In the evenings, visitors can stroll through Christmas Lane, browse pop-up food and gift stalls, and enjoy light installations and live performances. From December 24 to 26, a short snowfall performance takes place in the Christmas Forest each evening, adding a festive touch to the experience.

Merry Balloon Hong Kong runs from 16 December 2025 to 11 January 2026 at the Great Lawn, West Kowloon Art Park, transforming the area into a festive playground. Visitors can explore Merry Balloon Park, featuring oversized inflatables, photo installations, and family-friendly sessions by day and night. The event wraps up with the Merry Balloon Parade on 11 January, when nearly 20 giant character balloons travel along Victoria Harbour in a free public parade.

Festilumi — Until 26 April

Festilumi arrives in Hong Kong for the first time, lighting up the Wan Chai Harbourfront until 26 April 2026. Known for its immersive light festivals in cities such as Canada and Singapore, the event features over 20,000 luminous installations across nine themed zones, from glowing tunnels to animal and nature-inspired displays. The outdoor experience opens nightly from 6pm to 11pm, perfect for evening strolls and photography
