Belgian Days returns for its third edition from November 14 to 23, bringing over 20 events to Hong Kong and Macau. This year’s programme put the focus on food, featuring family-friendly gastronomy events, workshops, alongside music performances, art exhibitions and more, many of which are free entry.

Belgian Days celebrates cultural exchange and invites everyone to join in. Below, we’ve highlighted 8 standout events and how you can take part.

What is Belgian Days?

Belgian Days is a cultural festival celebrating the shared spirit between Belgium and Hong Kong, two global crossroads known for creativity, commerce, and a love of food. Initiated by the Consulate General of Belgium since 2023, the festival showcases Belgian gastronomy, art, music, and innovation, while fostering collaboration between Belgian and local talents. Over 20,000 participants have enjoyed the festival so far, making it a growing highlight in the cultural calendar.

When is Belgian Days in 2025?

Belgian Days takes place from November 14 to 23, 2025, spanning ten days and featuring around 20 special events. Check the official programme on the website for the full schedule and registration details.

1. The Belgian Chocolate Festival — November 14 & 15

Indulge in the world of Belgian chocolate at this two-day festival devoted to taste, craftsmanship and cultural storytelling. You can enjoy complimentary tastings of selected chocolates and drinks, discover sustainable cacao practices, and visit thematic booths featuring chocolate brands and artisan makers. Chef Michel Lo will present a live chocolate sculpture demonstration on November 15. Pre-registered guests can also join hands-on workshops like DIY bean-to-bar, truffle making and guided tastings of classic chocolate styles.

2. WHO is WHERE? Exhibition — November 17

Mon Colonel & Spit's artworks

“WHO is WHERE?” by Belgian artist duo Mon Colonel & Spit is a playful and thought-provoking installation exploring identity, culture, and connection. Featuring 44 glazed ceramic masks, each named after common Belgian and Hong Kong first names, the exhibition invites visitors to question “What differentiates us?” while discovering surprising similarities. Presented like a life-sized, artistic game of Guess Who?, the installation encourages interaction, curiosity, and dialogue between cultures.

3. Movie Screening — November 18

This special screening, presented in collaboration with HKBU Academy of Film and INSAS (Brussels), showcases two short films created by emerging directors at the start of their careers. Featuring two films, Thereafter (HKBU Academy of Film) and I Made a Dream of a Boat, Manhattan (INSAS from Brussels), the event highlights the creativity, storytelling voice, and emotional depth of young filmmakers exploring identity, family, and belonging. You will also have the chance to meet the directors and cinematographer in person, including Chan Ho Yi (Director), Alexandre Krajewski (Cinematographer), Luchino Paparella (Director), and Jacqueline Tong (Arts Curator & Promoter)

4. Comics Strip Encounter – November 18

Discover the craft behind comic storytelling at this special conversation with Belgian and Hong Kong comic artists. Through lively discussion, live drawing and a guided tour, you’ll explore how characters are created, how emotions are conveyed in just a few frames, and the personal stories behind the artists’ work. Whether you’re a fan, a hobbyist, or simply curious about visual storytelling, this is an inspiring and accessible way to dive into comic art culture.

5. Two Worlds, One Wall: A Street Art Fusion — November 19

This collaborative mural brings together Belgian artist Nour Ben Slimane (Créahmbxl) and Hong Kong street artist BOMS for a vibrant cultural dialogue through art. Inspired by music, the mural blends Nour’s bold, rhythmic compositions with BOMS’ calligraphy-infused street style, creating a poetic fusion of identities and expression. The result is a living artwork that celebrates creativity at the margins and bridges East and West through shared movement, gesture, and sound.

6. Exclusive Dinner — November 20

This culinary experience invites you to explore Belgian flavours through a fine dining journey shaped by collaboration between Belgian and Hong Kong creators. Expect a thoughtfully crafted menu using seasonal ingredients, elevated by artistic presentation, live music and immersive sensory touches. Chef Alexandre Ciriello, mixologist Fabrice Geerens, singer STACE and chocolatier Tarquin will guide the evening. Guests are encouraged to dress in black tie or their most elegant attire.

7. STACE @The Wanch — November 21

Step into an intimate night of neo-soul and shimmering mood at The Wanch, where Brussels-based artist STACE brings her deeply atmospheric soundscape to Hong Kong. Known for blending soulful vocals with dreamy, contemplative melodies, STACE’s performances feel less like concerts and more like shared emotional journeys. Following acclaimed appearances across major European festivals and her collaboration in Belgian Days’ Exclusive Dinner and CT Music Festival, this show offers a rare chance to experience her artistry up close.

8. Champagne Brunch at The Ritz-Carlton, Macau — November 23

Treat yourself to a luxurious Sunday brunch where Belgian elegance meets the warm, relaxed spirit of Macau. Enjoy exquisite culinary creations by Chef Alexandre Ciriello, paired with fine champagne and artistic touches from Belgian designer Katerin Theys. Bring your friends together and savour a taste of Belgian culture in a refined setting.
