A giant furry corgi has appeared at Mega Sky Rooftop Garden as part of a new art installation in Kowloon Bay. Named Mochi, the 10-metre-wide inflatable sits on the lawn on Level 18 of MegaBox and will remain there until 4 October. The installation forms part of Mega Art Space, a community art project combining large-scale murals with three-dimensional works. Entry is free, and visitors can also see a pet-themed light show in the evening.

Mega Sky opened in June 2026 and covers more than 30,000 sq. ft. The rooftop garden features floor-to-ceiling glass and a 270-degree view across East Kowloon and Victoria Harbour. Trees, planted areas and a large lawn provide space for visitors to sit, take photos and watch the skyline throughout the day.

For Mega Art Space, MegaBox partnered with local art platform Art Dreamers and artist Li Hok Fung. The project includes giant cat and dog murals, including a five-metre-long artwork created on site. One corgi mural also features a 3D inflatable tail, extending the artwork beyond the wall. Selected works from a student drawing competition, covering kindergarten to secondary school levels, are also on display.

Mochi is open to visitors from 1pm to 10pm from Monday to Friday, and from 11am to 10pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. The installation runs until 4 October 2026.

The rooftop’s cat-and-dog light show runs each evening from 7:30pm to 9pm until 13 September 2026. The programme uses large illuminated animal figures, music and moving lights. Timings may change depending on weather and on-site conditions.

Mega Sky Rooftop Garden is on Level 18 of MegaBox in Kowloon Bay. Admission is free, and visitors can see the installation during the day or combine their visit with the evening light show.
