Halloween is taking to the streets this October as Citybus and Viva Blue House bring back their open-top bus experience. Running from 16 October to 1 November, the H1W service follows a loop through Wan Chai, Tai Hang, North Point and Fortress Hill.

Rather than a conventional sightseeing commentary, passengers hear tales linked to the neighbourhoods they pass. Each journey lasts around 50 minutes, making the tour an evening activity for residents and visitors interested in the island’s local history.

The tour pairs an upper-deck view of Hong Kong after dark with stories drawn from neighbourhood folklore. A live guide introduces places associated with ghost tales, urban myths and chapters of local life as the bus moves through the east of the island.

Citybus has teamed up with Viva Blue House, whose work centres on Wan Chai’s community heritage, for this Halloween edition. Passengers can follow the stories from their seats, without having to join a walking tour between sites.
