Cathay Pacific has been ranked third in Skytrax’s World’s Top Airlines for 2026, behind Singapore Airlines and Qatar Airways.
The Hong Kong carrier, which celebrated its 80th birthday this year, also performed strongly across a number of other Skytrax categories, including a first-place ranking for Best Airline Cabin Crew.
The 2026 rankings were announced by Skytrax on September 18.

Cathay Pacific appeared in the Top 10 across all the major categories included in the rankings.
It placed:
- #1 for Best Airline Cabin Crew
- #2 for Best Airline Staff in Asia
- #3 in the World’s Top Airlines
- #3 for Best Business Class
- #3 for Best Inflight Entertainment
- #4 for Best Premium Economy Class
- #4 for Most Family Friendly Airline
- #5 for Cleanest Airline
- #5 for Best First Class
- #6 for Best Airport Services
World’s Top 10 Airlines of 2026
Singapore Airlines took the top position in Skytrax’s overall ranking, followed by Qatar Airways and Cathay Pacific.

Other Top Rankings for Cathay Pacific
Cathay Pacific’s strongest result came in the Best Airline Cabin Crew category, where it ranked first ahead of Singapore Airlines and Malaysia Airlines.
It also placed second for Best Airline Staff in Asia, behind Malaysia Airlines, while taking third place for both Best Business Class and Best Inflight Entertainment.
The airline ranked fourth for Premium Economy and Most Family Friendly Airline, fifth for Cleanest Airline and Best First Class, and sixth for Best Airport Services.
The results give Cathay Pacific Top 10 positions across a broad range of passenger experience categories, from onboard service and cabin products to entertainment, cleanliness and airport services.
