As the final Rugby Sevens at the iconic Hong Kong Stadium after 30 glorious years approaches, the excitement is palpable, and this edition is expected to be outstanding. And this year, a large fan zone will be set at the Central Harbourfront for the occasion, from April 6th to 7th.

Whether you’re a die-hard sports enthusiast or simply eager to soak up the electrifying vibes, the fan zone has something for everyone. Catch all the rugby action live on the big screen while enjoying a line-up of bands and DJs that promise to keep the party going. Plus, fun activities for kids and adults alike, game-day treats, and an extensive selection of drinks to keep your energy levels up.

A fan zone with multiple activities

This event offers an affordable and inclusive experience, seamlessly blending the thrill of athletic competition with the infectious beats of live music entertainment. So mark your calendars, gather your friends and family, and get ready for an unforgettable weekend, whether you spend it at the Hong Kong stadium or in the fan zone that will offer the following features:

  • Watch the Hong Kong Sevens games live on a large screen
  • Enjoy food and drinks supplied by Carlsberg, Continental Wines, Pernod Ricard, and Croque.
  • Enjoy all-day live music on the Community Stage including performances by Iris & Rubicube, DJ EI Toro and Pipe Band, DJ Simon Washford Pang, DJ Iva Sit, and DJ Jim Brockman, plus additional entertainment activities for all ages including Dinoland.
  • Chill on a comfortable furniture setup, including deck chairs and picnic tables. Seating is on a first-come-first-served basis.

Children under 6 years can enter free-of-charge with an accompanying adult ticket holder over the age of 18 years. The event is open between 10am – 10pm daily. There are no restrictions on the duration of your stay. Re-entry is permitted with a valid re-entry pass.

Tickets can be purchased online (HK$ 50 including one free drink) or at the doors (HK$ 60 including one free drink).

The Wailers concert on April 5th

To kick off the weekend festivities, the renowned reggae band, The Wailers, will grace the Community Stage on Friday 5h evening preceding the event. This concert is a special celebration of the 40th anniversary of Bob Marley’s legendary album, “Legend”, and the release of the eagerly awaited biopic “Bob Marley: One Love.”. Tickets for this concert are sold separately to the fan zone access. The concert to The Wailers is charged $560 + booking fees and will start at 7:30PM on April 5th. Tickets can be purchased online.

Both events will take place at the AIA Vitality Park at the Hong Kong Observation Wheel, 33 Man Kwong Street.
