World-renowned luxury French department store Galeries Lafayette will open in Macau on January 26, at the YOHO Treasure Island Resorts World Shopping Centre. The store will be spread across a 35,000 square feet space that overlooks the Nam Van Lake, and will house more than 100 global brands that cover fashion, beauty, and fragrances.
Galeries Lafayette Macau will showcase 10 ‘first-in-Macau’ brands, as well as the cross-brand area EDIT by Galeries Lafayette. As a tribute to Paris, which is where the brand’s first store opened, the Macau space will have a seven-metre-high indoor replica of the Eiffel Tower.
To celebrate the opening of Galeries Lafayette Macau, customers will be treated to an array of shopping offers, and exclusive limited-time events, such as the debut of the first Marni Market in Macau, and Byredo’s first Chinese New Year-themed pop-up store in Macau with limited-edition tea sets and exclusive fragrance experiences. On opening day at 7pm, Galeries Lafayette Macau and Charlotte Tilbury will present a drone show above the Nam Van Lake.
YOHO Resorts World Shopping Centre will also open the doors of its very own Five Guys burger restaurant, as well as stores dedicated to designer toy brand POP MART, sports brand Under Armour, high-end fitness centre UFC Gym, and leisure and entertainment centre BEEBEELAND.
