The first Tomica store is set to open in Hong Kong will open on 1 May at Harbour City’s Ocean Terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui, inside Toys“R”Us, through a partnership with Toys“R”Us Asia. It will be the fifth TOMICA BRAND STORE in Asia and the brand’s first official store in the city.
Tomica is a Japanese diecast miniature car series made by TOMY. First launched in 1970, it is known for palm-sized vehicles popular with both children and collectors. Over the years, Tomica has released thousands of models based on real-world cars and special editions, and it is now widely available across Asia.
The shop will be designed to look like a giant Tomica box, with the Wheel Table—a stacked-wheel monument—at its centre. Inside, visitors will be able to explore several dedicated zones and displays, including the TOMICA WALL with over 2,000 diecast miniature cars, the TOMICA KIDULTS AREA for adult fans, and the Recommended Corner for new product releases.
The store will also feature the TOMICA HISTORY AREA highlighting the brand’s heritage, plus a Lifestyle Goods Corner selling items like stationery, bags, and kids’ wallets.
A key local feature will be the Hong Kong-only Diorama Display, which will recreate Hong Kong’s cityscape using TOMICA models. Looking ahead, the store will also add the TOMICA FACTORY in winter 2026, where visitors will be able to build their own TOMICA car by choosing parts in their preferred colours and watching it assembled on-site.
You’ll find it inside Toys“R”Us at Harbour City’s Ocean Terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui (shops OT G21–G24 & G39–G42), and it will run 11:00–21:00 on weekdays and 11:00–21:30 on weekends.
