The next fireworks show in Hong Kong will begin at 8pm on October 1, 2025, when the city celebrates the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. The National Day Fireworks Display will light up Victoria Harbour with the theme “Victoria Harbour Fireworks Shine Across the Motherland”.

The 23-minute spectacle will feature over 30,000 shells across eight segments, including tributes to China’s aerospace achievements, the heroic cultural figure Nezha, and symbols of unity such as giant pandas. The finale, “Forging Ahead on the Road to Rejuvenation”, will fill the sky with gold, silver and red fireworks, symbolising prosperity and stability.

Before the fireworks, a drone show will take place over the Wan Chai waterfront, featuring 1,200 drones in a 15-minute display. The formations will include the national flag, the bauhinia flower, the Chinese character for “celebration,” a landmark junk boat, the Shandong aircraft carrier, a tribute to 60 years of Dongjiang water supply, and symbols of the National Games. The exact time will depend on weather conditions.
