Malvern College Pre-School Hong Kong (MCPS) has officially opened applications for the 2026-2027 academic year, welcoming families to explore its world-leading early years programme at its two campuses: Island West in Sai Ying Pun and Coronation Circle in West Kowloon.
Inside MCPS: Learning Spaces and Curriculum Highlights
MCPS offers a play-based curriculum rooted in the UK’s Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), enhanced by a Reggio Emilia-inspired environment where the setting acts as a “third teacher.” Children learn in a bilingual English-Mandarin setting, with native-speaking teachers supporting both language development and cultural awareness.
Signature programmes like the Forest-Beach School take learning outdoors, while initiatives in Financial Literacy and STEM build life skills from an early age.
For 2026-2027, half-day and full-day options are available for Pre-Nursery (2-3 years), Kindergarten 1 (3-4 years) and Kindergarten 2 (4-5 years).
Most graduates who meet progression criteria matriculate to Malvern College Hong Kong, while others continue their education at leading international schools across the city.
How Does the Admissions Procedure Work?
You should first submit your application online. After creating a Parent Log-in account, applicants must upload supporting documents including a recent passport-style photo, birth certificate, passport, HKID or visa documents, immunisation records, and any recent school reports.
Once submitted, families will be invited to an interactive experience session with the principal and senior management. This session includes a school introduction, age-appropriate games, and activities to assess the child’s readiness, social-emotional skills, and family alignment with the school’s philosophy.
Successful applicants receive a formal offer if places are available; otherwise, they are placed on a waiting list. To secure a place, families must return enrolment documents and pay a non-refundable reservation deposit within the specified deadline.
Key Dates and How to Apply for 2026–2027?
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis up to one year before entry, though early application is encouraged. Priority consideration is given to siblings of current Malvern pupils, children of Old Malvernians (alumni), and applicants who enhance diversity in terms of nationality, ethnicity, religion, age and gender.
Applications for 2026-2027 are now open. Visit the MCPS website to apply online and learn more about the curriculum, required documents, admissions process, and upcoming open days.
