Lan Kwai Fong will team up with Now TV to host FIFA World Cup Mania in Central from 12 June to 19 July. Screens will be set up across Lan Kwai Fong so fans can follow matches from the opening games to the final, while bars and restaurants in the area will support match nights with dining promotions and match-time deals.
Multiple giant outdoor screens and dedicated viewing zones will be set up across the area to broadcast all 104 matches, including the large LED screen in Lan Kwai Fong Lane, The Plaza viewing zone, and selected restaurants.
The campaign ends with a grand finale street party on 18 and 19 July, when parts of Lan Kwai Fong will become an open-air viewing zone. Guests can also enter a giveaway with prizes worth up to HK$300,000 in total.
Street Party on the Finale Weekend
Roads in the Lan Kwai Fong area will be closed on 18–19 July for a giant street party weekend. During the event, there will be live music, street games and pop-up activities, with food and drinks served by participating venues while roads are closed.
According to the FIFA World Cup schedule, the third-place match is on 19 July (Sunday) at 5:00am, and the final is on 20 July (Monday) at 3:00am.
Dining Promotions during the FIFA World Cup
On the dining side, over 20 of the neighbourhood’s restaurants, bars and clubs are running limited-time promotions during live games.
Some venues are offering a free beer for Hong Kongers with a purchase during live matches, while others have set menus, combo deals or discounted drinks at set hours.
HKT members can also get 15% off selected food and drink at designated venues during the campaign.
“Drink, Dine and Win” Giveaway
The “Drink, Dine and Win” giveaway invites guests to spend at participating outlets and upload receipt photos through the campaign platform. Rewards are listed at up to HK$300,000, including flight tickets, free beers and other prizes. Winners are due to be notified by email on 22 July.
