The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Half Marathon is returning on November 15, giving runners another rare chance to race on one of Hong Kong’s most unique routes. Taking place on the Hong Kong Link Road section of the bridge, the event combines a landmark setting with a competitive race format, and this year’s edition will open to more runners with the addition of a 10km category.
Race Date, Route And Distances
Runners will start and finish on the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Hong Kong Link Road, with two race distances available: a 21.0975km half marathon and a 10km race.
The half marathon has a time limit of three hours, while 10km runners will have one hour and 30 minutes to complete the course. All participants must be aged 16 or above as of 2026, and registration are now open.
A total of 10,000 runners will be accepted for the 2026 event, with 8,000 places available for the half marathon and 2,000 places for the new 10km race.
Entry fees are HK$550 for local half marathon participants and HK$450 for local 10km participants. For non-local runners, the fees are USD85 for the half marathon and USD75 for the 10km race.
Registration is split into Priority Entry and Public Ballot:
- Priority Entry runs from June 11 at 2pm to June 15 at noon. It is reserved for eligible runners, including top performers from the 2024/25 Half Marathon Challenge and applicants who meet qualifying times.
- For most runners, the Public Ballot will be the main route. It opens on June 18 at 2pm and closes on July 2 at noon, with entries decided by drawing lots.
