The 36th Hong Kong Book Fair has opened at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and runs until next Tuesday, July 21.

Organised by HKTDC, the annual event is one of Hong Kong’s biggest summer cultural events, allowing visitors to browse newly released books, enjoy exclusive discounts, attend talks and explore themed exhibitions.

What To Expect at The Book Fair

This year’s theme is “Reading the World: Cultural Legacy | Joyful Journeys”, inviting readers to explore different places, histories and cultures through books.

The fair features 8 seminar series, covering the theme of the year, renowned writers, English and international reading, children and youth reading, Hong Kong culture and history, lifestyle, knowledge and personal development.

Visitors can also check out the World of Art & Culture exhibition, children’s reading events and cultural showcases.

Running alongside it at HKCEC are the Hong Kong Sports and Leisure Expo and World of Snacks. Together, the three fairs bring more than 770 exhibitors from nearly 30 countries and regions.

Last year, the three concurrent fairs recorded nearly 900,000 visits in total, so visitors should expect a busy and crowded atmosphere, especially during the weekend.
