West Kowloon’s harbourfront will see a new addition this month, as WestK Quay officially opens alongside the launch of the WestK Ferry service connecting the West Kowloon Cultural District and Central. The new pier, located next to M+, is designed to make traveling to West Kowloon easier while enhancing its appeal as a cultural and leisure destination.

The WestK Ferry will begin public service on 15 November 2025, following a four-day trial period and launch ceremony. The ferry will run approximately every 30 minutes between WestK Quay and Central Pier No. 9, offering an eight-minute scenic journey across Victoria Harbour.

Ferries will feature air-conditioned cabins and will accommodate bicycles and pets. To mark the opening, 3,000 complimentary adult single-ride tickets and 500 pet tickets will be distributed on 10 November on a first-come basis.

Ticket fares start at HKD 20 (HKD 10 concession), with a monthly pass available for regular commuters. From December, private vessels will also be able to book berthing slots at the pier free of charge via an online system.

Adding to the destination experience, five new dining outlets will open along the waterfront, offering everything from street snacks to noodles and light bites—strengthening West Kowloon’s position as a cultural, scenic, and social hub.
