Alo has officially opened its Hong Kong flagship at K11 MUSEA, taking over the former Fortnum & Mason space on the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront, as announced earlier this year.

The two-storey shop sits near the Avenue of Stars and opens daily from 10am to 10pm. Shoppers can find the brand’s studio-to-street activewear, yoga and training pieces, lifestyle clothing and accessories.

The opening also marks the start of a broader Greater China retail expansion, with nine stores planned across seven cities in the wider region. According to Mr Zhu, President of China & North Asia at Alo, the expansion will cover Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Chengdu and Macau. Hong Kong is serving as the launch point for the regional push, with the K11 MUSEA store positioned as the first flagship in the network.

“Today represents a pivotal milestone in our entry into Greater China. We are set to open nine sanctuary stores across seven iconic cities,” Mr Zhu wrote on LinkedIn.

The expansion gives customers across the region more opportunities to experience Alo through physical retail spaces. At K11 MUSEA, the brand’s core studio-to-street concept brings together pieces designed for workouts and everyday wear. The selection includes yoga and training clothing, casual lifestyle pieces and accessories, reflecting Alo’s wider focus on movement and wellness.

The company is also positioning its new locations as more than conventional shops. Alo refers to them as “sanctuary stores”, linking its retail expansion with a broader focus on wellness, community and culture.

“We are building an ALOsphere — a world where movement, wellness, community, and culture come together. And this is just the beginning,” Mr Zhu added.
