When you think about Hong Kong, along with the iconic skyline, beautiful waters and mouthwatering food, “expensive” might be a word that comes up! But fear not, if you are travelling on a budget, you still have access to affordable housing – hostels. Hong Kong hostels might not be as well-known as their more expensive counterparts, but with ideal central locations, great amenities and high levels of safety and cleanliness, they make a great option for short or long-term accommodation.

Similar to those seen in Europe and other parts of the world, they consist of room shares, usually with bunkbeds, and common areas including kitchens, bathrooms and living rooms. So if you are a budget traveller or just someone looking to meet fellow travellers, here is our list of the top 8 hostels in Hong Kong for safety, hygienic standards and great vibes.
