Cathay Pacific has reopened The Wing, First on 22 April, at Hong Kong International Airport, bringing back its flagship First Class lounge in Terminal 1 near gates 1 to 4. The space has been reworked by London-based Studioilse in the first major update to Cathay’s Hong Kong lounges in a decade.

The reworked layout uses regionally sourced materials, with lighting and a signature scent designed to shift through the day. The lounge operates daily from 5.30am until the final departure.

Inside, the reopening centres on two dining zones. The Atrium Bar is designed for quick stops and longer visits, shifting from breakfast through afternoon tea to evening service.

For a quieter meal, the Dining Room serves a rotating menu that includes Hong Kong flavours, regional Chinese dishes and international options, with Cathay favourites such as dan dan noodles. A Pantry area is also available for snacks.

Wellness facilities include seven massage treatment booths, plus upgraded shower suites with multiple shower modes and luxury amenities.

For passengers who need to work, The Bureau offers enclosed work rooms with acoustic features and privacy glass, alongside clearer flight information displays to support smooth boarding.
Access is limited to Cathay Pacific First Class passengers and Cathay Diamond members. During the initial reopening period, oneworld Emerald members are directed to The Pier, First or other eligible lounges at the airport.
