Hong Kong is set to experience a significant temperature drop next week. According to the latest weather forecast, temperatures will fall from around 33°C this weekend to about 23°C by Wednesday. The change comes with stronger northerly winds, cloudy skies and periods of rain expected to affect the region from early in the week.

The forecast shows temperatures gradually decreasing from Monday, reaching their lowest between Tuesday and Wednesday. Humidity levels will rise from around 60% to above 90%, and moderate rain is expected. Winds will strengthen from the north, creating cooler and breezier conditions before temperatures slowly climb again towards the weekend.

This sudden cool spell follows months of above-average warmth. Earlier this year, 2024 was confirmed as Hong Kong’s hottest year since records began in 1884, with an annual mean temperature of 24.8°C.
