Hong Kong runners can start planning their next challenge. The 2026 Garmin Run Marathon Series has confirmed its Hong Kong stop for December 20, 2026 at Sha Tin Sports Ground, with registration opening on July 29.
The race is part of the international calendar covering multiple events across Asia and America.
What Is Garmin Run Marathon Series
The Garmin Run Marathon Series is an international race calendar designed for runners who want to take their running beyond one city.
In 2026, the full series features 13 events across 10 Asian destinations and three US cities. Runners who complete any 10 of the 13 cities between 2022 and 2027 can receive a customised 18K gold-plated medal, adding a collector’s challenge to the race experience.

The 2026 series begins in Indonesia on September 20, before continuing across Asia, including Vietnam, Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, Korea, Taipei, Thailand, Hong Kong and Japan.
The American stops include Durham in North Carolina, Toledo in Ohio and Tucson in Arizona.
Garmin Run Hong Kong 2026
The Hong Kong stop will be held on Sunday, December 20, at Sha Tin Sports Ground. Runners can choose from 21km, 10km and 3km categories, with the 3km race offering both individual and family options.
The local event will also include limited running classes, community runs and exclusive runner gifts.
Registration opens on July 29, with full race details and the official sign-up link to be announced through Garmin Hong Kong’s Instagram.
