Hong Kong is set to get a new venue combining sports, entertainment and retail with Go Park Sai Sha. The sprawling 300,000 square feet complex located between Wu Kai Sha and Sai Kung will bring together dining, leisure, sports, and dining experiences in two main areas — a commercial sports complex that will open in 2024, and a facility with outdoor sports amenities.
Go Park Sai Sha is being designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, the British architecture and design firm whose most recent Hong Kong project is the 36-storey The Henderson in Central. This development will be the firm’s first sports, retail and entertainment project in Asia and will comprise a multi-level landscape with a variety of facilities for visitors.
The venue will feature an elevated park on the rooftop with panoramic views of Sai Sha’s natural landscape, and integrate the area’s local flora on its premises. Go Park Sai Sha will also use sustainable practices, such as ensuring low-carbon emissions. Visitors who take the MTR can get there from the Wu Kai Sha Station or University Station. There are plans to provide bus and mini-bus services from these stations and from Ma On Shan City Centre.
