Until 8 November, Freespace in the Art Park of the West Kowloon Cultural District is home to Hermèstories, a project in which Hermès tells its story through a stage performance and an exhibition of its objects.

Both parts are free and open to anyone aged 7 and above. Visitors can choose between 2 formats, depending on how much time they have. Since places are limited, it is best to book a session in advance, although walk-ins are accepted when space allows.

Theatre Performance And Exhibition

The longer format opens with a theatre performance lasting about 50 minutes. Written by Pauline Bayle and staged by Joe Hufton, it follows the history of the house through the objects it creates and the values behind them. After the show, the audience moves into the exhibition space to look at those same objects up close. Hermès suggests allowing around 30 minutes for this second part, so the full visit takes roughly 80 minutes.

  • Weekdays: 4.30pm and 7.30pm
  • Weekends: 2.30pm and 5.30pm
  • No performance: 2 November

Exhibition Only

Visitors who would rather skip the show can see the exhibition on its own. Entry works in 30-minute time slots, which makes it easy to combine with a walk through the Art Park or a visit to the nearby museums.

  • Weekdays: 11am to 7pm
  • Weekends: 10.30am to 5pm

How To Book

There is no charge for either format, but Hermès asks visitors to reserve a session beforehand to guarantee entry. Each format has its own booking page on the Hermès Hong Kong website, so choose the experience first, then pick a date and time. If every slot is taken, visitors can still turn up without a booking and will be let in in order of arrival if space frees up. As the minimum age is 7, the event is not suitable for younger children.
