A production of one of William Shakespeare’s most popular tragedies is coming to Hong Kong next week for a limited run. So if you’re a fan of The Bard, you’ll love this striking retelling of Macbeth, brought to life by award-winning ensemble Action to the Word. There will be seven shows of the production from October 23-27, 2024 at the Rita Tong Liu Drama Theatre of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.

Action to the Word, which brought Romeo & Juliet to Hong Kong last year, is set to stage a visceral performance of Shakespeare’s tale of ambition, power, and loss. With their unique flair for physical storytelling, the ensemble’s production of Macbeth passionately pulls into question the very human condition, asking what people will stop at to get what they desire.
