Hypefest will come to Hong Kong for the first time, bringing international artists and pop-ups to the 852. The music event — which puts the focus on hip-hop and includes R&B and pop acts — will take place at Central Harbourfront on November 9 and 10, 2024. What is Hypefest?

The music carnival first started in 2018, when it was held in New York City. The most recent Hypefest took place in Hangzhou in August, and featured biggies like Offset and Tyson Yoshi, as well as artists like Tinashe, Ma Siwei, JID, Wan Nida, KnowKnow, DIGI GHETTO, Li Daben, Awich, and ØZI. The festival will also have a variety of experiential pop-up activities, and invite the local and international fashion community to participate.

When is Hypefest Hong Kong?

Hypefest Hong Kong is slated for on November 9 and 10, 2024 at the Central Harbourfront Event Space, which has been ground zero for several of the city’s premier music festivals. Concert-goers can party the night away by the iconic Victoria Harbour and against the breathtaking backdrop of the Hong Kong Island skyline.

Which artists will play at Hypefest Hong Kong?

Hypefest Hong Kong’s first-wave artist line-up features legendary Grammy award-winning French electronic music duo Justice, who recently made their comeback after an 8-year hiatus and will return to the SAR for the first time in 15 years. Other stars who will play at the two-day festival include American singer-songwriter d4vd, South Korean alternative R&B artist DEAN, Coachella Festival alum Thai rapper MILLI with two special guests, Hong Kong post-punk outfit N.Y.P.D., and South Korean pop singer So!YoON! Organisers also unveiled the other artists who will perform at the event, including Day 1 headliner Peggy Gou, rapper Rich the Kid, Japanese hip hop artist Awich, South Korean dream pop band Adoy, pop R&B artist sunkis, and boy band ONE OR EIGHT.

What are the other attractions at Hypefest?

Hypefest Hong Kong will have loads of attractions on the sidelines showcasing more than 20 participating brands and creators from both global and local scenes across fashion, music, art, and food. Check out the limited-time branded pop-ups with exclusive product showcases, art installations, interactive and reimagined carnival game booths, as well as a food village.

Where can I get tickets for Hypefest Hong Kong?

Early-bird tickets, which are now sold out, were priced at HK$788 for a 2-day Weekend Pass. General Tickets on Klook will cost HK$680 for a 1-Day Pass and HK$988 for a Weekend Pass, and will go on sale on September 19.

How to get to Hypefest Hong Kong

  • MTR: Head to the Hong Kong Station (Exit A2) or Central Station (Exit A), walk towards the Central Star Ferry Pier, and follow the promenade around the harbour to reach the festival entrance beyond the Hong Kong Observation Wheel. 
  • Ferry: Board a ferry to any of Central Ferry Piers (Nos. 2-7). Walk to the entrance, keeping Pier 10 on your left.
  • Taxi: Alight at the Star Ferry taxi drop-off point and walk straight ahead for 2-4 minutes to reach the gates.  
  • Bus: Take a bus to the Central Ferry Piers and walk towards the entrance by way of the observation wheel.
  • Car: There is no parking at the venue, but you can park your car at IFC, which is the closest parking lot.
