Morocco-based Bacha Coffee, which is known for its coffee boutiques and 100% arabica coffees, has opened its first Hong Kong café in late August 2023.

There is no confirmed opening date, but Bacha Coffee is listed among the mall’s stores on its website.

The Hong Kong flagship store is located opposite city’super in IFC Mall, and coincidentally, close to the takeaway outlets for Taiwanese tea joint ChiCha SanChen and Japanese coffee franchise % Arabica.

Bacha Coffee was founded in 1910 in Marrakech’s Dar el Bacha palace. After being closed for nearly 60 years, it reopened in its original location in 2017.

The brand then expanded internationally from 2019 onwards, and now has boutiques in Paris and Singapore, with plans to open in Malaysia and the Greater Bay Area, according to media reports.

Bacha Coffee will also launch an e-commerce platform for Hong Kong customers later this year that will offer the brand’s packed coffees and 200 varieties of loose beans.
