Fans who planned their Sunday around Ne-Yo will have to wait a bit longer. The singer behind So Sick and Miss Independent has pulled out of Spooky Halloween at the Wan Chai Harbourfront Event Space, where he was due to close the festival on 1 November.
He will be back instead for a solo concert in the city on Saturday 15 May 2027. Holy Priest has also dropped out of the Friday line-up. The organiser, Live Nation Electronic Asia, gave unforeseen circumstances as the reason for both changes.
If you already have a ticket, here is what changes:
- Priority for 2027: if you have a ticket for 1 November, for the carnival or the main stage, your order number lets you sign up for early access to the solo show
- Refunds: main stage tickets for 30 October and 1 November will be paid back in full, fees included, to the card or account you used, within 45 working days
- No action needed: KKTIX will email affected buyers, so there is no refund form to fill in
- Still to come: venue, ticket prices and sale dates for the May concert
The festival still goes ahead from today until Sunday. For 30 October and 1 November, carnival tickets now include the main stage too, at HK$170 for adults and HK$50 for those aged 17 or under.
On Friday, the main stage has ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U, AK Sports, DJ KPEE with a secret guest, and DJ Ivan. Sunday’s line-up is MARF from Collar, Kiri T, Gordon Flanders, HOHO ONE with Eric Kwok and Dan James, and DJ PLSFIX. Saturday, led by MEOVV and four MIRROR members, was not affected by the announcement.
The main stage runs from 6pm to 10:30pm each night. The carnival opens at 4pm on Friday and at noon on Saturday and Sunday, and closes at 10pm. Ticket details are on the official Spooky Halloween ticketing page.
The venue and ticket prices for Ne-Yo’s May show have not been announced yet. In the meantime, you can see what else is coming up in our list of concerts in Hong Kong.
