Footie fans are in for a treat as some of the world’s most iconic football players will head to Hong Kong at the end of the year for a friendly match. The Legends Assemble — Real Madrid Legends vs Barcelona Heroes exhibition game will see stars like Luis Figo, Michael Owen, Xavi Hernandez, and David Villa play at the Hong Kong Stadium on December 20, 2024.
The last time that Real Madrid players visited Hong Kong was in 2003, making this match an extra-special event. Luis Garcia and Fernando Morientes, who will represent each team, were in the city to announce the details of the match this week. The organisers also revealed that this exhibition match has received official authorisation from the Real Madrid Leyendas, marking the first time in Asia that a similar event has received official recognition from the club.
