Hong Kong will join the SailGP calendar in 2027, as the international sailing championship brings its high-speed F50 catamarans to Victoria Harbour for the first time.
The city will host the opening event of the season on January 23-24, 2027, placing one of the world’s most recognisable harbours at the centre of the global racing circuit.
Hong Kong Joins A 13-Event Global Calendar
The Hong Kong Sail Grand Prix will mark the start of SailGP’s 2027 season, which will feature 13 events across five continents. The championship is known for close-to-shore racing, fast turns and F50 catamarans capable of reaching speeds of more than 100 km/h.
After Hong Kong, the season will continue with stops including Perth, San Francisco, Bermuda, Halifax, New York, Portsmouth, Sassnitz, Valencia, Italy, Rio de Janeiro and Dubai. The venue for the 2027 Grand Final has not yet been confirmed.
Ticket Details And Pre-Sale Access
Ticket information for the Hong Kong Sail Grand Prix has not been released yet. However, SailGP has confirmed that SailGP+ members will receive priority access through an exclusive pre-sale before tickets are opened to the wider public.
Further details on ticket categories, viewing areas and fan experiences are expected closer to the event. The Hong Kong race is scheduled to take place over two days, from January 23 to 24, 2027, with Victoria Harbour providing the backdrop for the season opener.
