The Forest Bakery+ has opened “The Forest Bakery+” at K11 Art Mall, positioning the pop-up as a modern take on Hong Kong’s pineapple bun culture. The kiosk runs for one year, until April 2027, and combines made-to-order bakery items with an IP merchandise display inspired by local bakery icons.

Bolo Bao fans will find the store split between food and collectables: one side for pineapple bun variations, the other for BabyPineappleBun toys and photo-ready displays.

The bakery line includes Crispy Caramel Pineapple Bun Puffs (HK$18 each) in four flavours—vanilla, strawberry, black sesame and pistachio—built like a choux-style bite with a pineapple crust and custard centre.

There is also a Pineapple Caramel Pudding Bun (HK$24) topped with caramelised sugar, and a Hong Kong-style Char Siu Molten Egg Pineapple Bun (HK$22) aimed at those who prefer a sweet-savoury option.

Classic choices stay on the menu, including the Butter Pineapple Bun (HK$12) and Four-flavour Custard Pineapple Buns (HK$14 each). For take-home items, the pop-up sells Mini Pineapple Bun Cookies (HK$88 per box) and bottled Hong Kong-style Coffee or Hong Kong-style Milk Tea (HK$25).

The concept also leans into craft and local identity, with chef Jerry Man presenting pineapple bun-making as a skilled Hong Kong baking tradition while targeting a younger audience through updated flavours and character-led souvenirs.

💡 You can pop by The Forest Bakery+ at Kiosk 17 (B1/F) in K11 Art Mall — it’s open daily from 11:30am to 8:30pm, and you’ll find more details at www.theforestbakery.com.
