Uber has introduced two new ride options aimed at travellers moving between Hong Kong and Macau and getting around Macau. The update adds pre-booked, point-to-point transfers across the border with upfront prices, while also enabling licensed Macau taxis to be requested and paid for through the Uber app.

Cross-Border Reserve Trips Between Hong Kong And Macau

The trips are available through Uber Reserve only. Riders must book at least 24 hours in advance, and can reserve up to 90 days ahead. The in-app fare is fixed and includes bridge and tunnel tolls and 30 minutes of wait time. The service is operated by cross-border transport provider Kwoon Chung Bus Holdings.

Uber Taxi Returns In Macau With In-App Payment

Uber has also enabled taxi booking in Macau through the same app. Riders can request licensed Macau taxis, with fares charged using the official taxi meter and paid directly in the app.

Uber says the app’s language options and cashless payment are intended to make it easier for both visitors and residents to use taxis without extra local apps or cash.
