Hong Kong’s set to have a wet and wild summer, with the debut of the Waterbomb Festival. The event has been held in South Korea since 2015, will be staged in Hong Kong on June 1 and 2. However, information about tickets, the venue, and who will perform at the event have not yet been revealed.

The Waterbomb Festival is usually held in cities across South Korea, and this year’s event in Seoul from July 5-7 will feature A-list artists such as Taemin, Lee Youngji, Jessi, Crush, and Hwasa. Apart from the live performances, there are usually water fights with water guns, swimming pool parties, photo zones, food and drinks stalls, and a VVIP lounge.

However, before the Korea editions of the Waterbomb Festival kick off in July, the Asia leg of the event will begin in Hong Kong in early June. There are other cities on the international leg of the tour — Xiamen and Singapore — but the dates for these events have not yet been announced. There is also a Japan tour, which comprises four cities: Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, and Nagoya.

This year will also see the return of S2O to Hong Kong, which will take place at Central Harbourfront on June 8 and 9. The performer line-up includes superstar Dutch DJ Afrojack, Brazilian DJ ALOK, rising EDM star Kayzo, and Danish DJ-producer Marten.
