Hongkongers will be able to use selected Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) facilities for free across two consecutive days for Sport For All Day 2026.
The free-use sessions will take place on August 1 and 2, with ballot applications opening from July 16 via SmartPLAY app.
Facilities Available For Free Use
For the first time, LCSD will open selected leisure facilities for free public use across two days.
- 16 indoor facilities: badminton courts, basketball courts, volleyball courts, squash courts, table tennis tables, fitness rooms, activity rooms and dance rooms.
- 6 types of outdoor facilities: tennis courts, tennis practice courts, bowling greens, batting cages, archery ranges and golf facilities. Some facilities, such as climbing walls, archery ranges and water sports crafts, require users to hold the relevant qualifications.
Public swimming pools, except Wan Chai Swimming Pool, do not require advance booking and will admit visitors on a first-come, first-served basis while quota lasts.
How The Ballot Works
Free sessions will be allocated by ballot through the SmartPLAY system.
| Date of free use | Submission of balloting application | Announcement of balloting results | Announcement of remaining sessions | First come first served for remaining sessions |
| August 1 | July 16 to 19 | July 23 | July 25 | July 26 |
| August 2 | July 17 to 20 | July 24 | July 26 | July 27 |
Each user can submit one individual application per date, with up to three choices per application. Applications for the two days will be processed separately.
