TATE Dining Room is ready for its next chapter. After a month-long break, Cheffe Vicky Lau’s two-Michelin-starred restaurant will reopen for reservations from August 14 at its new Sheung Wan home.
Located just a few steps from its original address, the new space brings together French-Chinese cooking, porcelain-inspired design and a calmer, more intimate dining atmosphere.
Award-Winning Fine Dining
Founded by Cheffe Vicky Lau, TATE Dining Room has become one of Hong Kong’s most distinctive fine-dining restaurants, known for its French-Chinese approach and poetic “Ode to Ingredients” menus.
The restaurant’s new chapter continues that direction with an eight-course “Porcelain Menu” priced at HK$2,880 per person. The menu highlights ingredients such as lobster, crab, scallop, pigeon, abalone and century egg, each presented through Lau’s precise, ingredient-led lens.
TATE’s New Sheung Wan Home
TATE’s new two-storey home is located at G/F, 68 Lok Ku Road in Sheung Wan, just a short walk from the original restaurant.
The space is designed to feel more like an elegant private home than a traditional fine-dining room, with ceramic and porcelain art shaping the experience. The restaurant features a 22-seat main dining room and a 10-seat VIP room, keeping the scale intimate.
Interiors by Chris Shao draw inspiration from fine china, with soft lighting, curved forms, custom furniture and commissioned ceramic works adding texture to the dining journey.
