ComplexCon Hong Kong, the second edition of the ComplexCon festival to be held outside of North America, has announced that NJZformerly known as NewJeans, will join the musical lineup as a headliner at Complex Live!, a three-day concert series at this year’s ComplexCon Hong Kong festival.

The K-Pop girl group is one of the most influential groups in pop and is made of five members: Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyein. The group will be performing for the first time at this year’s ComplexCon Hong Kong under their new name.

Who is NJZ?

As NewJeans, the group experienced a meteoric rise in the K-Pop scene and quickly became one of the most influential and innovative groups of their generation. They took the music world by storm with their chart-topping hits like Hype Boy and Super Shy and their boundary-pushing style and sound. At the 2024 Billboard Women in Music Awards, they were the first K-pop female act to win Group of the Year. In 2023, they won the Top Global K-Pop Artist award at the Billboard Music Awards. Additionally, they won Artist of the Year at the 2023 MAMA Awards and Melon Music Awards.

“We are thrilled to be stepping onto the stage for the first time as NJZ and share something new with everyone,” said NJZ’s Minji, adding, “It’s a big moment for us and we can’t wait for fans to be a part of this journey with us and show the world our new music that we have been eagerly waiting to share.”
