As announced back in November, Hong Kong is getting its first official Comic Con, and the debut edition is already shaping up as one of the city’s biggest pop culture weekends of 2026. The event will run from May 29 to 31, 2026, at Hall 3 of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, bringing together screen stars, comic artists, cosplayers, gamers, collectors and major entertainment brands under one roof.
What To Expect
Hong Kong Comic Con 2026 is the ultimate pop culture event and will go beyond a standard exhibition. The event is expected to feature celebrity appearances, Meet The Stars sessions, cosplay activities, stage programmes, gaming competitions, artist showcases, partner booths, merchandise and fan-led experiences.
Several brand activations have also started to take shape. Sony Pictures has confirmed a Spider-Man presence at the event, with the new Spider-Man: Brand New Day suit, professional stunt performers and trailers from the upcoming film expected at its booth. This adds to the wider fan experience, which is likely to include collectibles, photo spots and branded installations across the three-day event.
Celebrities, Ambassadors And Meet The Stars
Hong Kong Comic Con 2026 has already confirmed a strong international guest list (here and here), bringing together actors from some of the world’s biggest film and television franchises.

Confirmed stars include:
- Mads Mikkelsen, known for Hannibal, Doctor Strange and Fantastic Beasts
- Giancarlo Esposito, known for Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul and The Mandalorian
- Christopher Lloyd, known for Back to the Future
- Jamie Campbell Bower, known for Stranger Things and the Harry Potter universe
- Katie Leung, known for Harry Potter, Bridgerton and Arcane
- Daniel Logan, known for playing young Boba Fett in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones
- Norman Reedus, best known as Daryl Dixon in The Walking Dead
The Meet The Stars programme will give fans the chance to book photo and autograph sessions with selected guests. Prices vary by celebrity, with Norman Reedus’ 1:1 autograph and photo-op tickets priced at HK$1,580. Reedus is expected to attend all three Meet The Stars days from May 29 to 31.

Meet The Stars ticket prices for the overseas guests range from HK$580 to HK$1,580. Autographs and photo ops are sold as separate tickets, so fans who want both experiences will need to buy separate passes. The latest name added to the line-up is Norman Reedus, best known as Daryl Dixon in The Walking Dead. He will attend all three Meet The Stars days from May 29 to 31.
Hong Kong actor Louis Koo has also been appointed as ambassador for the event, adding a major local name to the city’s first official Comic Con.
Cosplay Hall
Cosplay will be a major part of Hong Kong Comic Con 2026. The Cosplay Hall is designed as a dedicated space for fans to gather, take photos and celebrate their favourite characters, while cosplayers can also enter the main exhibition hall in costume.

Registration is required. Fans must first buy an event ticket, submit an online cosplay application with a costume or character photo, wait for approval, then collect a cosplay wristband on-site by showing their QR code. Access is limited to 4,000 cosplay wristbands per day, and places are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Props will also be checked at the entrance. Lightweight props made of foam, cardboard or plastic are generally allowed, while real weapons, metal weapon-style props, sharp items, airsoft guns, projectiles and high-tension bows are not allowed. Security has final authority on prop approval.
Artists, Gaming And Merch
Comic art will have its own place at the event, with announced artists including Kael Ngu, Alan Quah, Dexter Soy, Stephen Segovia and Agnes Garbowska. Their work spans major franchises and publishers such as Marvel, DC, Image Comics, X-Men, Nightwing, Star Wars, My Little Pony and DC Super Hero Girls.
Local creators Man Tsang and FCP are also involved in the event’s visual campaign, with their key artwork already appearing across Hong Kong’s MTR stations and outdoor ad spaces.
Gaming fans will have something to follow too, with community tournaments for Counter-Strike 2 and League of Legends, each carrying a HK$30,000 prize pool. The organisers have also promoted fan missions and signed merchandise opportunities, giving visitors more reasons to engage before and during the event.
Tickets
General admission tickets are available online through official ticketing partners including Klook, Trip.com and EXPERIENCE 11. The organiser states that there will be no on-site box office, so visitors should buy tickets online before arriving.
