Founded in Paris in 1862, Ladurée is one of France’s best-known patisserie houses, famous worldwide for its colourful macarons, elegant pastries and traditional tea-room experience.
The brand has built a large international following, with its signature celadon-green boutiques and gift boxes becoming instantly recognisable to dessert lovers.
Hong Kong fans will also remember Ladurée’s former presence in the city. Its final permanent boutique, located at Harbour City in Tsim Sha Tsui, closed on August 28, 2017. Since then, local fans have had to travel further for the brand, making its new Macau opening a much closer option for Hongkongers again.
Ladurée has now opened a new tea room at Grand Lisboa Palace in Macau, bringing its Parisian-style setting to the resort.
The space features the brand’s signature celadon-green colour palette, soft lighting and decorative details inspired by a 19th-century Parisian salon. Guests can sit down for a French afternoon tea featuring Ladurée macarons and signature pastries, while the boutique also sells premium dessert gift boxes and seasonal packaging.
Another highlight is an on-the-spot personalisation service available on site, allowing customers to print their chosen wording on individual macarons without making an advance reservation, even when purchasing just one.
