To celebrate Art March Hong Kong 2025, M+ will open its doors to the public for free on March 9. Visitors will have access to all General Admission exhibitions at the museum of contemporary visual culture through the day, as well as two special screening programmes. This initiative aims to engage the local community and international guests, encouraging a deeper appreciation of contemporary art in the vibrant West Kowloon Cultural District.

Free Access to General Admission Exhibitions

Art enthusiasts can check out M+’s General Admission exhibitions from 10am-6pm on March 9 without the need for pre-registration. Key shows include the long-running M+ Sigg Collection: Another Story, the design and architecture-centric Things, Spaces, Interactions. Other presentations of interest include Making It Matters, Shanshui: Echoes and Signals, and Masquerades featuring Yasumasa Morimura and Cindy Sherman. Also on display are Lee Mingwei: Guernica in Sand and Danh Vo In Situ: Akari by Noguchi.

Visitors should enter through the Artist Square Entrance, as some access points to the museum will be restricted. Entry will be managed based on onsite capacity, and queuing may be required. The queue will close at 4pm to ensure sufficient time for visitors to experience the displays.

Special Free Film Screenings

M+ will also present two free screening programmes on March 9. The Mediatheque will showcase Fresh Eyes: Painting in Motion from 10am-6pm, which highlights experimental films blending painting and animation. Featured artists include Len Lye, Gotot Prakosa, Chen Shaoxiong, and Gao Yuan.
