One of Hong Kong’s iconic trams will be transformed into a speakeasy, and passengers will get to sip on free beer and sample food from four popular Hong Kong restaurants during their rides. From August 16-18, 2024, 1664 Brut will take over a tram that runs between Sai Ying Pun and Causeway Bay, and will open registrations for the weekend-long event at 12 pm on August 12.

During the one-hour-long rides, passengers can get a taste of Uncle Padak’s Chicken Sangchu Geotjeori Lettuce Salad, Michelin Bib Gourmand recipient An Choi’s Bánh Mì Đặc Biệt Special, Jing Alley by Flower Drum’s Honey Barbecued Spanish Sunflower Chestnut Duroc Pork, and Orchid Padaria’s Crème Brûlée Puff Pastry Egg Tart.

The tram will run on two routes: from Whitty Street Tram Depot to Causeway Bay Tram Terminus (next to Regal Hong Kong Hotel), and Causeway Bay Tram Terminus to Whitty Street Tram Depot. The first departure of these non-stop trips will be at 1pm and the last one at 11:40pm on each day. Passengers who successfully register are advised to be at their boarding points 10 minutes before the tram departs.
